The Social Jar #4 – Fleets, Clubhouse, Closed Captioning

The Social Jar Podcast has returned! In episode 4, Dan Wiseman, Ryan Long, and Andreas Georgiou are back to assess the brief life of ‘Fleets’, Clubhouse’s latest move, and how you can give your videos an edge on social media.

It has been a very busy two weeks online. Twitter’s failed ‘Stories’ attempt was a major talking point, but Clubhouse’s new partnership with TED has raised eyebrows in the live-audio industry. The guys round off the show by demonstrating the importance of captions in today’s video-crazy online world.

The Social Jar team discussed ‘Fleets’ in episode 3, as we see the first major casualty of social media’s ‘copycat’ nature. Twitter announced that they were removing the feature on July 14th. It comes just 8 months after its November launch. It’s fair to say that Dan wasn’t their biggest fan

Episode 4 is available on all popular podcast streaming platforms. It is live on Buzzsprout, Spotify, and Apple Podcasts. As always, there is also a video version on YouTube.
