The Social Jar #2: Athlete Activism, TikTok’s EURO 2020 Push, Twitter Spaces

Episode 2 of The Social Jar podcast is live!

The bi-weekly social media podcast is back with a second installment. The show brings you all of the biggest topics from within the social jar – the world of social media – that have been in the news of late.

This week, Uni4m Media’s Dan Wiseman is joined by Andreas Georgiou and Ryan Long for a EURO 2020 special.

Inspired by Cristiano Ronaldo’s moving of two Coca-Cola bottles in a recent press conference, Ryan talks the concept of ‘athlete activism’ and how sports stars are using their social media platforms for the greater good. Dan then details an industry-first for TikTok and their primary sponsorship of a major UEFA tournament. Andreas then closes out the show by giving his thoughts on the long-term future of the podcast industry, which has been presented with a genuine rival in the rapidly-evolving Twitter Spaces and Clubhouse platforms.

As always, The Social Jar #2 can be found on podcast-sharing platforms BuzzsproutApple Podcasts, and Spotify. Or, alternatively, head over to YouTube for a video version of the show. Highlights will appear across Uni4m’s social media accounts.
